Overcast, favored by many of us as an alternative to Apple’s own Podcasts app, has begun providing podcast privacy alerts for shows in the latest beta version … There’s a new Privacy and Tracking link on the main show page, next to the graphic. Tap this, and you are taken to a privacy page. The NYT show The Daily, for example, two alerts are shown. It also notes that other aggregated data may be collected....

Announced over the weekend, the latest version of Pokémon Go with the new Buddy feature is rolling out now. Version 1.7.0 for iOS includes many bug fixes and support for the Pokémon Go Plus accessory, but also disables the game on jailbroken devices. You can now select a Pokémon from your collection to be your Buddy. Besides looking cute next to your profile image and user avatar, walking with your Pokémon awards Candy that can be used to evolve and power up monsters....

The Isle of Armor expansions has arrived for Pokémon Sword and Shield. It brings a whole new island completely filled with new Pokémon along with different biomes. Serious players can make use of this and can view over 100 new Pokémon. In this expansion, there are a few Pokémon who do not evolve like the others do when they reach a certain level. When Apple announced its new HomeKit SDK at WWDC on Monday, it mentioned Philips, the maker of those popular iOS-connected lights, and potential to use Siri and a command like “Get ready for bed” to automate tasks like closing the garage door, locking the front door, and lowing the lights. It also announced a new way for developers to build widgets for Notification Center using a new extensions feature for developers, and Philips has already previewed a prototype of what their offering could look like for them with their Hue lights....

This is not the first time a freelancer has decided to sue a Hollywood A-lister as it is becoming more and more normal to do so. Earlier today, a report from The Information explained that Apple will release a new Smart Keyboard for the iPad Pro with a trackpad. Pokémon GO developers Niantic today announced the latest upcoming in-game event for the title with the Pokémon GO Water Festival scheduled to kick off today, March 22. During the event, players will have increased opportunities to catch water-type Pokémon, which the developers note includes “Magikarp, Squirtle, Totodile and their evolutions around the world,” among others: Alongside the Water Festival in-game event, there is also now a new Magikarp Hat wardrobe item available for avatars....
