It took steam by storm in late January, offering Pokémon fans a unique, online alternative to their favorite creature-collecting adventure. Made by CremaGames S.L, Temtem has received good reception since its release, sitting at over 16,000 very positive reviews on steam and peaking at just under 40,000 concurrent players....

The original was another enchanting animated classic from Studio Ghibli but Ponyo 2 probably isn’t going to happen. Hayao Miyazaki is the co-founder of the legendary Studio Ghibli, a Japanese animation studio responsible for films such as Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. Miyazaki also directed those entries and is rightly acclaimed as one of the greatest living filmmakers. Ponyo from 2008 was Miyazaki’s tenth film and tells the story of a boy who discovers a goldfish who turns out to be an underwater princess....

iOS journaling app Day One today announced a major update to version 3.0. The update brings a slew of new features, including an overhauled editor interface, time-based dark mode, audio recording, and much more. Headlining today’s update is a new editor that is “designed and built from the ground up for a superior writing experience,” according to Day One developers. As part of this redesign, there’s a new editor menu that makes it easy to access formatting option, as well as support for Photo Groups, Check Lists, and more....

It looks like Sony is consolidating its UK-based studios by closing Studio Manchester, a virtual reality-focused games studio that was created in 2015 to develop VR titles for PlayStation. The studio will close this year and is the third game development studio in the United Kingdom which Sony has shut down recently. Currently, Sony still has 14 studios around the world with active projects, including three in Europe. This will be the third VR-focused studio that Sony has shut down in the UK alone, preceded by Guerrilla Cambridge, which was shut down in 2017, and Evolution, which was shut down in 2016....

A new report today from The Sydney Morning Herald offers an interesting look at how Apple’s “Find My” app was used in a deadly police chase last month. According to the report, two wanted men in Melbourne were tracked by police using the Find My app on a stolen iPad. Lionsgate is less than three weeks away from unleashing its reboot of the iconic Power Rangers franchise. The company remains hard at work promoting the film across the digital landscape, especially the story of the diverse team of five Rangers and their backstory as a band of misfits-turned heroes. The film is expected to tread thematic waters with the main characters that have rarely been seen in the franchise. However, this is Power Rangers after all, so the film is also likely to be a lot of fun for young viewers....

The Peloton app for iOS has been updated today with support for Chromecast. This adds another way for Peloton users to view workouts on the big screen. The Peloton app has supported AirPlay for a while now. This allows users to beam content from their iPhone or iPad directly to an Apple TV or AirPlay-equipped TV. The new support for Chromecast, however, vastly expands those options. Now that the Peloton app for iOS supports Chromecast, users can send content from their iPhone or iPad to any TV that has Chromecast functionality built-in, or any TV with a Chromecast dongle (via The Verge)....

Shares in video processing specialist Pixelworks are up 39 percent in pre-market trading after an SEC filing surfaced revealing that Apple represented more than 10 percent of its revenue, representing a spend by Apple of $5M+. SeekingAlpha speculates that Apple is seeking assistance from Pixelworks in developing its long-rumored full television set, though the company’s technologies would seem equally applicable to Apple’s existing products, from iPhones to Macs. It’s unlikely that either company will enlighten us: Pixelworks only disclosed the relationship because publicly-traded companies are legally obliged to reveal major clients, defined as accounting for more than 10 percent of the revenue....
