They are launching a handful of kid appropriate podcasts that you can listen to right inside the app. Pinna worked with child development experts and a variety of writers and performers in the writing and recording process. Overcast, favored by many of us as an alternative to Apple’s own Podcasts app, has begun providing podcast privacy alerts for shows in the latest beta version … There’s a new Privacy and Tracking link on the main show page, next to the graphic. Tap this, and you are taken to a privacy page. The NYT show The Daily, for example, two alerts are shown. It also notes that other aggregated data may be collected....

Announced over the weekend, the latest version of Pokémon Go with the new Buddy feature is rolling out now. Version 1.7.0 for iOS includes many bug fixes and support for the Pokémon Go Plus accessory, but also disables the game on jailbroken devices. You can now select a Pokémon from your collection to be your Buddy. Besides looking cute next to your profile image and user avatar, walking with your Pokémon awards Candy that can be used to evolve and power up monsters....

The Isle of Armor expansions has arrived for Pokémon Sword and Shield. It brings a whole new island completely filled with new Pokémon along with different biomes. Serious players can make use of this and can view over 100 new Pokémon. In this expansion, there are a few Pokémon who do not evolve like the others do when they reach a certain level. One of those is the Fomantis, a grass-type Pokémon....

Recently an image of what’s claimed to be Apple’s redesigned US 5W USB power adapter surfaced on Weibo (via Gizmobic). This alleged new design, isn’t actually that new to everyone though. When Apple announced its new HomeKit SDK at WWDC on Monday, it mentioned Philips, the maker of those popular iOS-connected lights, and potential to use Siri and a command like “Get ready for bed” to automate tasks like closing the garage door, locking the front door, and lowing the lights. It also announced a new way for developers to build widgets for Notification Center using a new extensions feature for developers, and Philips has already previewed a prototype of what their offering could look like for them with their Hue lights....

A photographer has sued, star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian West for stealing his photo that she posted to her Instagram. This is not the first time a freelancer has decided to sue a Hollywood A-lister as it is becoming more and more normal to do so. Since aired in 2007, Kim was shot into stardom and has been entertaining reality TV audiences ever since. The beauty mogul married rapper Kanye West in 2014 in a ceremony abroad, the two currently have four children together, and she recently launched her shapewear collection, Skims....

Earlier today, a report from The Information explained that Apple will release a new Smart Keyboard for the iPad Pro with a trackpad. This would be the first time that Apple has added a trackpad to the Smart Keyboard, and there are a few interesting things worth noting here. The idea of a Smart Keyboard with a built-in trackpad doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise. Apple first added support for pointing devices in iPadOS 13, but it’s currently described as an Accessibility feature....

Last week we spoke about a posh NYC restaurant which now offers its wine lists using an iPad, now we learn international hotel chain, Sofitel, is offering iPads pre-populated with newspapers to some of its guests. Meanwhile, publishing industry magnates are furious with Apple because it won’t yet allow them to charge subscription fees from within their apps....

Pokémon GO developers Niantic today announced the latest upcoming in-game event for the title with the Pokémon GO Water Festival scheduled to kick off today, March 22. During the event, players will have increased opportunities to catch water-type Pokémon, which the developers note includes “Magikarp, Squirtle, Totodile and their evolutions around the world,” among others: Alongside the Water Festival in-game event, there is also now a new Magikarp Hat wardrobe item available for avatars....

The developers of Pokémon Sword & Shield have talked about the removal of the National Dex in a recent interview and said that they have no regrets about cutting it, as they want to give people a deeper attachment to their Pokémon. The discourse surrounding Pokémon Sword & Shield has been dominated by the removal of the National Dex since E3 2019 when Junichi Masuda explained that not all Pokémon would be appearing in every mainline game going forward....
