Pinterest is graduating from a place where you discover and bookmark items to a storefront where you can actually make purchases. This is made possible using Buyable Pins, which the company says are coming soon to Pinterest for the iPhone and iPad. Pinterest users will be able to buy items from a handful of partners at launch with Apple Pay planned as a payment method to make the process instant. At launch, Pinterest is partnering with premium retailers including Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus to allow users to buy the items they pin in the app....

Pixelmator today released the latest version of its photo editor for iPhone and iPad, Pixelmator version 2.1. The update brings full support for iPad iOS 9 multitasking, the ability to import and edit 8K resolution images, Open-In-Place document management across iOS and more. We’ve had pretty strong inclinations since January that the next generation of iPad would take design queues from the iPad mini. Today Nowhereelse.fr publishes two images of what could be the bezel of the new full-sized iPad 5. Note that the side edges are narrower than current models which could facilitate a smaller device with the same screensize. More apps have slowly been trickling in for Apple’s latest M1 machines. The latest addition is popular flight tracking app, Flighty, from developer Ryan Jones. The app is universal, so if you are already a Flighty user you can simply go to the Mac App Store listing and redownload it from iCloud. Flighty is by far the most beautiful and detailed Flight tracking app I’ve ever used and it’s well worth the download....

The popular live video streaming service Periscope is now saying goodbye. Owned by Twitter, Periscope will be completely shut down on April 1, 2021, following the app’s removal from the iOS App Store and Google Play. According to a patent filed by Sony the PlayStation 5 controller will support voice controls. Every iteration of the PlayStation system also revamps the way that the DualShock controller operates. These improvements originally were additions like wireless controllers or the the rumble feature. Most recently the PlayStation 4 added in the touchpad and the share button on its controller.
