Update: Some users are once again reporting the availability of the beta Photos web app on iCloud.com (although not everyone just yet). Let us know if you’re still seeing issues. Update 2: Apple has acknowledged the outage on its system status page and says the issue is resolved. The Photos app has been mysteriously pulled from the iCloud.com site, in the last few days. The app, which shows pictures stored in iCloud Photo Library, is now no longer listed on the iCloud....

Planescape: Torment and Icewind Dale are the weirdest entries from Black Isle’s D&D phase, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth playing. Most Android users are quite familiar with the third-party Dolphin Browser app, which has been downloaded over 9 million times and according to TechCrunch just raised $10 million from Sequoia Capital. It appears some of that investment will go towards the company’s efforts on iOS devices as well, as an official iOS version of the browser has just popped up in the App Store....

QCODE is back with another show that is going to give them another hit. I just finished up episode one, and I can’t wait to hear more of the story. If you aren’t familiar with QCODE, they previously published shows like The Left Right Game and Blackout. Cole Sprouse, who stars on the show was recently on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon discussing the podcast. Episode one of Borrasca was released this past Monday, and new episodes will be available through July 20th, so it’ll be a great show to binge if you have any summer traveling coming up....

Niantic is celebrating its second anniversary of the hit Pokémon GO game all month. The company announced in a blog post that starting tomorrow and running through the end of the month, there will be a few changes to the Pokémon GO app in commemoration… First off, Niantic says that Pikachu and Pichu will appear more frequently in the application. Furthermore, there will be a special “Summer Style” Pikachu in the Pokémon GO app throughout the month as well:...

Following launches in the United Kingdom and Germany, Pokemon GO is making good on its promise to rollout to more European countries. The game is now officially available in Italy, Spain and Portugal. Download it for free in the App Store. The game continues to top App Store charts worldwide. Reaction to Pokemon GO has been mixed. It has no doubt become a gaming sensation but the augmented-reality geocaching nature of the game has caused some frictions in the wider world....

The older games in the Pokémon series made it difficult to detect the Individual Values of Pokémon stats, but it’s possible to easily check them in Pokémon Sword & Shield in the post-game, so long as the player is able to crush Leon in a second battle. Individual Values (better known as IV values) determine how much a Pokémon’s stats will increase when it levels up. A Pokémon’s IVs are determined when it’s created by the game and encountered by the player for the first time, but the player cannot easily find out what they are without outside help....

During today’s Pokemon Direct presentation, Pokemon Sword and Shield developer Game Freak revealed the release window for the upcoming Pokemon Home service. Pokemon Home was originally announced last summer, and was described as a new cloud-based Pokemon storage service for Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. Pokemon Home will serve as the successor to Nintendo’s Pokemon Bank app for the 3DS. It will be the main storage solution for Pokemon going forward, and supports the transferring of Pokemon from Pokemon Bank, Pokemon GO, Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, and Pokemon Sword and Shield....

The Apple Watch Series 5 is the first to feature an always-on display, and Apple touted that it was able to achieve that without a measurable impact on battery life. Now that the Series 5 is widely available, however, some users are reporting mixed results when it comes to battery performance – but it could be a software bug. Apple says the Apple Watch Series 5 can achieve up to 18 hours of battery life, which is the same as what it also advertised for the Series 4....

A man from Columbus, Ohio claims that his less than one-month old iPhone XS Max caught fire and exploded in his pants pocket around December 12, iDropNews reports. The man, Josh Hillard, says he initially noticed a strange smell emanating from his rear pant pocket, before feeling a “large amount of heat” allegedly burn his leg. While the man says he’s already been in contact with Apple regarding the matter, their offer of a replacement hasn’t seemed to bode well, who says he’s already exploring his legal options against the company....
