It’s another Friday and you’ve seriously done enough for the company this week, right? I’m starting a regular Friday feature where I’ll be showing you how to have fun at work on your PC during company time. Last Friday we looked at Contre Jour Online, which is a graphically beautiful, fun, and addicting game. However, not everyone has the ability to sit at their computer in the corner cubical and play such obvious games. For this week’s installment, we’ll take a look at a few time-wasting games that are less conspicuous. They’re disguised as spreadsheets, Word documents, and other “office looking” work on your screen. Head over to cantyouseeimbusy.com and click Games. There you have four different ones to choose from.

Choose from either Crash Planning, Breakdown, Leadership, or Cost Cutter. Each game is designed to look like you’re actually accomplishing something at work – like getting those TPS reports to read. For instance, this is Breakdown, it is a “Breakout” style game that looks like a typical document you’d be working on from across the room. Instead of busting animated bricks, you’re busting up important corporate-looking documents.

The funny thing when playing these games is you need to enter the name of your company first.

All of these games are basic time wasters, but much more fun than tallying reports and working in spreadsheets and databases. To make the game screen less obvious, open a real work window or two behind it while you wait for the whistle to blow.

The other cool thing about this site is you can share your high scores against other players who are wasting time at work with you Have fun! Even if you work for a company that has a filter like Websense going. Comment
