Pokémon GO July Community Day event is to be launched by Niantic very soon for the year 2020. This Event will have numerous rewards to collect. According to some resources, the Event is expected to start at 11 am BST on 19th July. The trainers can probably catch Gastly along with their shiny forms. Pokémon GO: July Community Event Details

There is a small amendment in the Community Day event. This time the Event will last for 6 hours in place of 3. Also, you will experience a higher spawn rate for Gastly. For a nominal price of USD 1, the players can enjoy a Special Research Task, named “The Great Gastly,” alongside the bonuses.

This mission gives users a variety of items, as well as Pokémon encounters. This guide will help you to accomplish the quest and the rewards.

Pokémon GO: Great Gastly Special Research Tasks and Rewards

Part One:

  • 10 Pokeballs rewards for powering up 10 Pokemon
  • 20 Gastly Candy for catching 15 Gastly
  • A Gastly Encounter for making 5 nice throws

After successful completion of this, you will be rewarded with 2000 Stardust and 1 Incense and 1 Gastly Encounter

Part Two:

  • 20 Gastly Candy for catching 15 Gastly
  • A Haunter Encounter for transferring 10 Pokemon
  • 1000 XP for evolving 3 Gastly

After successful completion of this, you will be rewarded with 2000 Stardust and 1 Incense and 1 Poffin

Part Three:

  • 10 Gastly Candy for making 3 Great Curveball Throws
  • 5 Golden Razz Berry for evolving a Haunter
  • 1500 XP for transferring 10 Pokemon

After the successful completion, you will be rewarded with 2000 Stardust and 1 Incense and 1 Rocket Radar

Part Four:

Note: This stage is just for claiming specific rewards

  • 5000 Stardust: Claim Reward Bonus
  • 1500 XP: Clain Reward Bonus
  • 5 Silver Pinap Berry: Claim Reward Bonus

After the successful completion, you will be rewarded with 2000 Stardust and 3 Rare Candy and 1 Gengar.

It is still unknown to us what the last stage requirements are. One thing is certain that you would be rewarded generously for the Research Task mission. Along with matching candy and Gastly Encounters, the players will also get the terminal evolution of Gengar and Gastly for their exclusive collections. The Gengar will be coached for some exclusive Pokémon Go move, which is Shadow Punch. Also, the Incense will now last for 3 hours, not 30 minutes.

The players should keep in mind that the tickets for ‘The Great Gastly’ are non-refundable. There are some special arrangements done by the Niantic team, keeping in mind the COVID-19 pandemic scenario. Make sure to catch as much Gastly as you can.
