Pokemon GO is putting Pokemon Diamond’s Dialga front-and-center for its latest Legendary Raid Boss. With previous raids featuring Palkia and Latias, it seemed like a logical step that the Steel/Dragon Legendary Pokemon was next to make its mark for the game’s March event.

As Niantic’s popular title continues to be a staple of the mobile gaming market, Dialga is a big name to arrive in March. The temporal terror will be the fifth Legendary Pokemon from the Sinnoh region, following in the footsteps of Giratina, Cresselia, Heatran, and Palkia. Celebrating in style, Dialga is also the 80th Sinnoh Pokemon to join Pokemon GO.

According to the official Pokemon GO Twitter, the final member of the “Creation Trio” is available to catch now. Running from March 1 at 4 p.m. ET until March 28 at 4 p.m. ET, Dialga is a super strong Pokemon that can be defeated will a little know-how. The official Pokemon GO description reads as follows:

Being Steel/Dragon, Dialga is vulnerable to Ground and Fighting types. Anyone who’s lucky enough to own a Groundon should opt to use this first. Elsewhere, the likes of Heracross, Machamp, Rhydon, Machop, and Donphan can help round off a healthy team.

“With the ability to warp time by slowing it down, speeding it up, and even stopping it altogether, Sinnoh region mythology says that time began moving when Dialga was born. Be sure to assemble a team that includes Fighting- and Ground-type Pokemon to take down this Legendary Pokemon of Sinnoh before it overpowers your Pokemon with its special attacks.”

Players wanting to boost Dialga’s powers should attack during snowy or windy weather for a boost, but be warned, the Legendary Pokemon will pack an extra punch during those times. Added to this, the powerful Draco Meteor attack means Dialga is a likely candidate to replace Metagross as the Best Steel-type attacker. It’s suggested that 3-6 high-level players could tackle Dialga or a bigger team of 7-20 lower-level players.

Sadly, it looks like Field Research will be staying the same in March. With things staying put, at least players have another chance to catch Lugia, Ho-Oh, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Raikou, Entei, and Suicune. Unfortunately, with Field Research encounters being completely at random, there’s no way of knowing which Pokemon will appear at the end of the streak.

All is not lost though. Anyone who doesn’t manage to bag themselves a Dialga in March can probably expect it to appear further down the line. Niantic has done a pretty solid job of reintroducing exclusive Pokemon for Legendary Raids, while there’s also a chance that Dialga will eventually find itself appearing in the Field Research box.

With Dialga’s arrival, it means that Pokemon GO only needs to add the “Lake Trio” (Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf) to round off its roster of Legendary Sinnoh Pokemon. Know that they know how to catch a Dialga, players are warned to grab one before it leaves Pokemon GO for a new dimension.
